Originalantique lithograph titled Map of the Gettysburg Battlefield,printedmore than 115 years ago.

  • There are actually four mapson a single sheet. Thelargest is drawn on a scale of one-half inch to one mile and locatesprominent features between Oak Hill and Round Top, including the PeachOrchard, SeminaryRidge, Taneytown Road, Little Round Top, the Hanover Railroad,Baltimore Turnpike, Devils Den, and Cemetery Ridge.
  • Three smaller maps show Federal and Confederate trooppositionson the first three days of July, 1861.
  • Below the maps is a block of letterpress text with ageneral summary of the battle.
  • Condition: This original lithograph is in verygood condition, bright and clean, with nomarks,rips, tears, or creases. It is printed on a lightweight paper that hastoned slightly with age, giving it a fine antique patina.Please see the scans and feelfree to ask any questions.
  • It was published in Battles and Commandersof the Civil War, edited by General Marcus Joseph Wright,Washington, D.C., 1902.
  • This is an original, authentic antique lithograph, nota reproduction or modern reprint, and it is fully guaranteed to begenuine.
  • On the reverse side there are two other illustrations: [1] A Confederate Battery at Messich's Point, on the Potomac and [2] Wagons at the Gate of Fort Runyon prior to crossing the Long Bridge into Washington.
