Up for sale is this original Krag rifle bayonet and metal scabbard. Spanish American War era. Blade is very clean and stamped US & 1899. Handle appears to be stamped 12 NY on one side and BT3 on the other. The guard is tight and the mortise button works. Metal scabbard has a metal belt hanger. The blade measures approximately 11-1/2”, the bayonet measures approximately 16-1/8” overall and 17-1/4” when sheathed. Excellent condition.
