Original Hand-signed Signature Letter Former President Gerald Ford signed Jerry Ford September 4, 1987 to Ward Quaal. (Letter from the Estate of Ward Quaal: See Bio Below)  This framed letter regards his appreciation of a donation given to the LSA Dean\'s Merit Scholarship program at the University of Michigan.  Some staining on letter.  

Ward Quaal Bio:

Ward Quaal is recognized as one of the 20th Century\'s broadcasting legends.  Ward Quaal began working at WGN radio in Chicago in 1941.  As eventual President and General Manager of the WGN Continental Broadcasting Company, both WGN radio and WGN television became known for quality programming and dedicated involvement within the Chicago community.  Broadcasting and Cable Magazine named Ward Quaal as one of their top \"100 Men of the Century\" and he became one of the industry\'s \"most influential and respected statesmen.\"  He was also very well respected within the Political Arena especially with the likes of Richard Nixon and his very close friends Ronald and Nancy Reagan.
