PHOS-FERRONE Rare Soda Pop Tip Tray, St Louis, MO Missouri 1907 Coke Pepsi comp.: $224.99
I have a really neat and SUPER RARE Phos-Ferrone Drink from the Saint Louis Missouri market. This was a tonic soda water drink, and was made in downtown St Louis from the late 1800s to about 1915. The tray says \"Drink Phos-Ferrone\" and was made in 1907 by the Meek Company of Coshocton OH Ohio. Meek was at one time part of the Meek and Beach advertising novely company too. This would have been a competitor to Hires, Nehi, Nugrape, Coca Cola, Pepsi-Cola, Moxie, the various elixer drinks from yesterday and small regionals like Kist, Dr. Pepper, Tenn Cola, buckeye root beer, Liberty, etc etc. The tray is in decent condition with some crazing on it as shown, but very limited and light. Some small edge wear chips also, but again, not much. this is a grade 8 on a 10 scale or so in my opinion. A super rare STL ad item, competing against the likes of Budweiser beer at the Anheuser busch brewery , The Wm J Lemp brewing company and their Falstaff beer, griesedieck brothers, Hyde Park, Columbia Brewing, Central, heim Brewery, Klausmann etc. Everyone wanted part of the drinking needs in the days when these products were much more clean or pure than the dirty drinking water itself. Crazy but true at this time!Buyer pays $4.50 for shipping.
