This came from my grandmother\'s teacup collection, all of which were very nice. This is from the Fruit Series by Queen Anne Fine Bone China in England, acompany that came late to the English china game as it started in the 40s,which is probably about when my grandmother would have owned this cup.The condition is excellent: no chips, cracks, scratches, or other issues.
The cup sits on a gold banded pedestal and includes gold on the rim and handle. It is decorated with strawberries and leaves on both sides as well as on the inside. The handle has an elaborate shape. The cup rim is scalloped, and its dimensionsare 3 1/2\" across x 3 3/4\" tall.
The saucer is 5 1/2\" across x 3/4\" high at the gold tinted scalloped edge.
Two and three strawberries decorate the two sides of the saucer.I believe these items were hand painted based on the same decorator\'smark on both pieces, a sort of silver L.
A very nice mid century piece for yourself or another.
