RARE Early Antique c 1840 MASON'S IRONSTONE Chinoiserie ImariJUG PITCHER Masons For Sale

This lovely antique Mason's jug/small pitcher measures approximately 5.25" tall. It is handpainted with Chinoiserie scenes which was typical of these early Mason's Ironstone pieces. It is a lovely piece! It does have some light flaking to the paint in a couple of places. It also has a chip on the rim that was actually done in the making of the piece as it was painted over along with the rest of the rim. It is a great example of the charming imperfections that can be found in these early handcrafted pieces. It is also somewhat dirty on the inside. It is good otherwise.
