FABULOUS VINTAGE ZUNI
THUNDERBIRD BOLO TIE

CIRCA 1940S-1950SFINE OLD ZUNI CHANNEL INLAY BOLO TIE LIKELY FROM THE WORKSHOP OF FRANK VACIT.
Purchased in Ventura, CA at an antique shop in 2000. There was no leather tie or bolo tips, so when at Zuni Pueblo the following year, I purchased this leather tie and sterling tips. It has remained intact for nearly 23 years. For photos, I removed the leather and tips, but have reinserted them and they are intact. A beautiful stunning bolo, which was worn lovingly but sparingly for of Sterling Silver, Turquoise, Coral, Jet and Mother of Pearl, it is intricately hand made using the channel inlay technique.
