REDRUMMD CUSTOM BUCK 110 KNIFE WITH NATURAL AA SIBERIAN JADE SLAB SCALES:
$295.00

This knife is a Buck 110 withSilver Nickelliners and bolsters.

Natural AASiberianNephrite Jade –

The scales are cut from two slabs of a fine grained AA Grade, mixofgreens from Siberia. This Jade in the rough currently sells for over $400. a pound.

The rear scale got away from me in the clamping procedure and rotated a bit. This failure on my part caused the rear seams to be too wide and is the reason I am selling the knife for about what the Jade alone sells for. This slightly wide seam is why I gave this knife a CS rating. The display side is perfect.

It is a VERY translucent Jade that take a glossy polish that is not typical for Nephrite Jade. This Nephrite Jade is very tough and this knife would serve well as an Every Day Carry knife. The Jade used, the knife and workmanship are exceptional.

It is a VERY translucent Jade.

The knife isa Silver NickelBuck 110 with their420HCstainless steelblade.

The photo\'s really do show the knife well. It is Redrummd 2204CS.I have developed a grading series to assist collectors and buyers of my knives in determining how goodI deem any knife to be. I will be using a new numbering method to ensure that long term I can identify the quality of any knife being sold - even in the secondary resale market as my knives are now starting to be sold by others. Knives with a \"PCS\" after the number are from my \"Personal Collection Series\" and are the best of the best. They always have exceptional stone used and the fit lines are also exceptional. Knives with a \"CS\" after the number are from my \"Custom Series\" and have very good or betterstone and good fit lines. If a knife with exceptional stone has less than exceptional fit lines it will be sold as a \"Custom Series\" knife.Knives with a \"EDC\" after the number are from my \"Every Day Carry\" series and are knives that are the very best bargains. These knives were intended as \"CS\" or \"PCS\" knives but ended up with a fit line or other workmanship issue that I find to be less than good or that have stone that an internal imperfection showed up during the cutting and polishing. I do all of the cuts and fit lines with nothing more complex than good eye hand coordination so sometimes my skill falls a bit short of what I would like. I will always identify why a knife ended up in this group.I am numbering all my works so if you are a collector you may want to print this out. I do not intend to engrave my works as that would add additional costs to each piece and my goal is to keep my work affordable so that you can actually use and carry my artwork. I do photograph and keep a record of each piece just in case they do become worth something in later years as I am fairly young. Most \"stone\" used by other makers on knives is not really even stone but rather rock dust reconstituted with plastics and dyed to look like stone such as Turquoise. I only use real stone and the only thing I will do is improve the polish some stone pieces will take by filling in natural occurring structures such as pits, druzy, and lines with a UV stable polymer, usually Hxtal.

I may ship the knife in a silicone treated sock so it will arrive a bit dulled by the coating of silicone. I recommend using a rouge/flannel polish cloth to bring up the mirror polish on the metalif you intend to put the knife in an open display. I recommend use of neutral Kiwi shoe wax or Renaissance wax to keep the stone, blade and bolsters from dulling and to keep fingerprints from showing.

It takes about 8 to 10hours of fine detail work to get from a chunk of stone to a finished knife.

I guarantee you will like theknife or return it by insured mailandI will refundthefull purchase price!

Please email me if you have any concerns or questions BEFORE offerDING as I intend to have 100% satisfaction in my sales.

Thank You.
