Rare 1896 Kansas City Pittsburg & Gulf Railway Bridge Blueprint Lasted 3 Years:
$250.00

For your consideration is this rare 1896 Kansas City, Pittsburg & Gulf Railway Bridge (KCPG) blueprint. I have little knowledge about this railway except what I read online. If I understood it right, this railroad was started by Arthur Stilwell in the 1890s but did not get trackage on the KCP&G or get up and running until 1897. Quoting a site online: "Trackage on the KCP&G was completed from Kansas City to Shreveport, Louisiana as of March 7, 1897. By Sept 11 of that year the line ran all the way to Port Arthur Texas, a town Stillwell eventually created and named after himself. However, the railroad was in financial trouble by 1898. On April 1, 1900 the Kansas City Southern railway took control of the KCP&G properties after purchasing them at a foreclosure sale in Joplin, Missouri." So, it wasn't around very long. I could not find a KCP&G railroad blueprint online so it must be rare. Even though I saw another site with similar historical information, if anyone

This blueprint is dated May 4, 1896. The right corner is marked KCP&G RR. Additional sections for cylinder piers, 2nd crossing of Poteau. American Bridge Works Scale 3/4" = 1'. May 4, 1896. There is also a double circle that inside says 1-4894.

Condition: Fold lines from being rolled up too loose at some point I would think. Some minor small browning here and there. In lower left a tiny piece of tape stuck on it. No tears and no pieces missing.
