This listing is for a gorgeous antique French mantel clock
This masterpiece dates to the late 19th century
The clock features a bust of a young maiden, posed atop an ornate cast metal base with porcelain numerals.
The bust of the maiden is stamped “JD” on the reverse. The bust of the maiden is attributed to Eugène Antoine AIZELIN. The same bust can be found within the sale catalogues of Aizelin’s works.
The clock measures 11.4 x 6 x 17 inches.
The clock appears to be in overall good condition. Colors are still vibrant. Some signs of normal wear and age present.
The movement was last serviced in 2019. It ran and chimed when recently tested.
Please note that any mechanical clock that is shipped might require adjustments upon arrival. Thus time accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
Please see all photos for details and feel free to message with any questions. Cheers!
