This was my Grandfather’s (quite possibly my Great Grandfather’s) Chinese Lacquer Red Parker Duofold Jr.. All my research leads me to believe it is a 1928 model. Some were made in Canada. This one was made in the USA. It has a brand new, correct ink sac, and brand new filler spring for the push button. This model has a cap on the end that unscrews to uncover the push button to fill the pen. The pen takes in ink well, and writes smoothly with a fine to extra-fine point nib.
The cap has double gold bands that do show some wear. The cap lip has small but noticeable cracks. It still screws onto the pen smoothly.
The hardened rubber black components are in good shape, and show a little browning which occurs with age, but not much compared to a lot of examples out there. The imprint stamped into the pen cap is in good condition and readable. The pen still has a very good shine and is in overall very nice condition with no major scratches.
It will be cleaned of ink when shipped and ready to take whatever ink you would like.
It is almost 100 years old, and sold as is. Please see pictures for condition.
