Star & Cane PATTERN

The States pattern in this large pitcher size is QUITE RARE . Hand blown pressed glass.

6.5\" high, top is 8.5\" long from handle to spout, opening is 6\" long x 5\" across. Base is just over 4.75\".

This type of short but wide, elegant pitcher would originally have been used for serving milk, water, and lemonade

Holds 5.5 cups/ 44 ounces

Scalloped top rim, fancy cut edged handle with lovely round thumb rest. Looks gorgeous from any angle.

Excellent condition. No nicks chips scratches or damage. No water marks inside, no staining inside glass, color is beautiful and very clear. Some very slight surface scuffs to underside of bottom from shelf sitting and over 100 years of use, not damage and adds to charm of piece.

Wonderful deeply impressed pressed stars in oval indented panels alternating with a pressed cane pattern in identical indented panels- there are 8 panels in total with a lovely smoothed rounded shape [no straight or harsh edges]
