TURN OF THE 20TH CENTURY ORNATE BRASS / BRONZE CANDLESTICKS AND CHALICE:
$1800.00

We have placed up for offer an ESTATE find. Massive heavy solid ( brass / bronze? ) candle holder set from the turn of the 20 th century. Both candle holders are in a nice antique condition with hardly any signs of age, and in original condition: no repairs, dents or scratches found, and very clean ( see photo ), would polish up very nice. The religious pieces are on tripod feet that features a cathedral decor. This set has an intricate ornate base and are very well made. Both candle holders are included as a matching set. They are large altar candleholders measure approximately about 18 1/2 inches tall. One side of the triangular base measuresapproximately 5 1/2 inches across. The candleholders can be partially disassemble by unscrewing. The six points on each of the candlesticks also can be removed by unscrewing. The Chalice is marked STERLING on the bowl and we believe from the makers mark that it is a Feeley piece ( see photo ) from around the turn of the 20 th century. The makers mark is kind of hard to see in the photo. There are what looks to be like 11 Diamonds in a cross ( see photo ) on the base of the chalice. Also there are what we were told, are 4 Amethyst mounted in the stem around the chalice ( see photo ), 1 of which has a slight crack in it. The bowl appears to be gold plated ( see photo ). The bowl does unscrew from the stem. This chalice is very ornate and measures about 10 inches tall and about 6 1/4 inches across at the base. The chalice does need a good cleaning, we left it just the way we found it so we would not do any damage to it by cleaning it the wrong way.
All of these items, we believe, were recovered from a small Nuns Chapel before it was to be torn down in the 1970's.
We have had all 3 of these items stuck back in a closet and during cleaning we decided to try to sell them.
Please look at photos and ask questions you have before offerding, the items in photos are the exact items you will receive if you are the winning buyer. We will ship within 2 business days after receiving payment. We expect payment to be made within 2 days of winning offer. We may disassemble items before shipping.
We ship to the lower 48 States only at this price.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.
