VTG 1943 RELIGIOUS CHALKWARE CRUCIFIX UNDER BUBBLE GLASS W STRAW FLOWERS 4 1/2\" For Sale

This piece is just beautiful! It features a chalkware cross, made to look like wood, nestled in a bed of straw flowers and tiny greens. The back is cardboard, with the paper behind the cross featuring a \"moon burst\" of light, coming from the cross. I didn\'t want to call it a starburst, as it is fainter than that. It really displays well. There is a note on the back, \"Uncle Eddie Oct 9 1943\". So if was from Uncle Eddie, maybe? Oct 9 was in the middle of US involvement in WWII. So, it\'s hard to say if this piece has any significance. October 9 was a Saturday.
Whether it was a gift or a remembrance, it is beautiful. You won\'t be disappointed.
