Very RARE -- NEW YORK WORLD\'S FAIR 1939 Camo Fish Knife -- Made by COLONIAL: $29.00
- This is a VERY RARE Fish Knife that was made to commemorate the NEW YORK WORLD\'S FAIR 1939. It measures a large 5\" long closed and has a 3.75\" long blade with a FISH SCALER on the upper part of the blade. It still has surprisingly good SNAP for a knife that is 85-YEARS OLD. The blade is solid but the very tip is broken off.
- The CAMO-colored handles appear to be made of ACRYLIC PLASTICand are in good condition except for the tiny tips beyond the rear pin which are missing, although the handles themselves are still firmly attached to the knife\'s body. It has the FISH KNIFE BADGE and is engraved with NEW YORK WORLD\'S FAIR 1939 on the front side. It has not been cleaned by me and is in as-found condition. Please see the pictures.
- The tang is stamped COLONIAL over PROV. R.I. which is where it was made in 1939. An Internet search failed to come up with any similar knives making this one a highly collectable piece of historic cutlery.
