To be factual….
I sold five of these to two different buyers while it was listed as an original antique for $80 per unit.
they disagreed upon inspection and asked for a return. I gave them a full refund right away.
That being said…. I’m not an authority or expert of anything and have taken this information into account.
Part of my basis for believing it to be early 1900s was that one sold three months back at sale from another seller on this site with multiple buyers for over $160. Moreover, I truly believed them original to that time frame based on the feel, look and makeup of the item. I realize now I was wrong and made direct amends promptly.
I purchased these from a gentleman in California who is a complete hoarder and also believed them authentic.
While listed, one er messaged me he was pretty sure they were made for the annual Coca Cola convention. I can’t remember exactly but I think he said in San Diego in 1973. I know it was the 70s and a convention in California. I’m rolling with that information. Now you know what I know.
Take all this into account as I have drastically reduced the price for anybody who wants a likely reproduction from the 70’s of a late 19th century Coca Cola advertisement piece.
Obviously they are designed to be folded to effectively slam home the message. As quoted, “Apperances are sometimes deceiving but Coca Cola can always be relied on as nourishing, refreshing and exhilarating.”
You will receive one never folded version in this sale as pictured.
Thirsty, tired or head-achey; or after a night out try a Coca Cola HIGH BALL
And...Coca Cola can ALWAYS be relied on as NOURISHING, refreshing and exhilarating.
Beautiful lithography and the risque nature makes this advertisement a true gem.
Enjoy!
