These vintage old world style Angel candles are painted & I don\'t see any chipping in the paint. The matching Star-shaped wooden candle holders are the perfect match & make a stunning set. To me the angels seem to be wearing old time clothing & holding hand muffs. Over all a unique item, even if you don\'t burn them they would make a stunning display in your collection.
