Vintage Circular THORENS Standard Lighter ca.1933 PAT APP FOR

Please findoffered for sale a rare vintage circular Thorens petrol lighter ca.1933. Ithink that this is the Nickel Silver model.
Detail on the hingereads (in order): SWISS MADE PAT APP.FOR THORENS FAB SUISSE. It has a screwclosure to the fuel reservoir to the base.
The lighter issold as seen and untested – I am not an expert on lighters but I expect itwould need some cleaning or refurbishment etc. The push button works wellalthough it is quite fast. I think looking at other similar Thorens lighters thatit may have the ‘claws’ missing to the hinge which makes it fast when openingso ideally these should be reinstated. The lighters weremanufactured by Thorens SA, Ste-Croix Switzerland in the 1930s.
Pocket lighter inthe shape of a watch - round - semi-automatic, friction wheel swinging lid,petrol.
Flint is jackedup on the grater wheel, filler screw down on the side. Ignition button can belocked as a pocket lock.

CONDITION Very good overall. The lighter is sold asuntested and may benefit refurbishing. The double claw appears to be missingfrom the hinge so will need replacing. There is some wear and loss of thesilver plating in places. Any wear and tear is commensurate with age, handling,polishing and use over time.
