A nice 1958 vintage Emerson Vanguard model 888 transistor radio in red. It definitely needs repair, we got some crackling when putting batteries and turning the dials but doesn’t tune in stations and power is in and out, maybe due to needing that repair/tuneup and cleaning. There is a crack on the circuit board around one of the screws. Metal has some oxidation and the dials a little too. The antenna wire is disconnected. Handle/stand is very good. Case is very good. Battery compartment a bit brittle.
If you’re good with vintage radio repair, this is a good project. If you just collect, also a nice example for your collection.
It’s being sold as a repair radio that does not work, no guarantee it can be repaired. As stated, it crackled when putting batteries in but there is no representation that it is a working radio. For repair, parts or display. You may be able to bring it to life.
