Fabulous vintage French \"antique leather-bound books\" liquor tantalus, cave a\'liqueur box with gold embossed \'bindings\', original decanter with stallion or horse engraved gilded cartouche, six gilded shot glasses or cups and wonderful condition! Yes, vintage rather than antique but all of the visual and decorative appeal of the older ones. Made to look like a stack of old leather bound books, the top two open to reveal the fitted interior & liquor or liqueur service. The titles on the \"books\" read: Le Jour Et L\'Heure, Traite de Sciences (on two) and Histoire d\'Ecosse. Roughly translated to The Day And The Time, Trafficking of Sciences (on two) and History of Scotland. The cups all have a tiny horse marking on the bases also, so we know the set is complete and original. A wonderful decorative accent and one of two similar \'book\' boxes that we\'re adding this week so, be sure to browse some while you\'re with us. Thanks! Very good condition, just as you see it in the images. There is a bit of staining or discoloration to the right side of the box, near the bottom. Also the hinged are has a split in the faux leather but the interior portion is intact so the top and bottom are still completely attached though maybe a little more delicate. No damage to the interior, decanter or cups. See pictures for all measurements.

Insurance has been eliminated as an option by , forcing us sellers to either ship your items without insurance or assume that expense also. We always insure our items BUT, more importantly, pack them extremely well knowing that most are not replacable. Our shipping days are Tuesday and Friday, paid items will be shipped on the first shipping day after payment is recieved (except when special circumstances exist). We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge, when applicable, is a flat $35.00 in addition to actual postage & insurance charges.
