Extremely rare true MCM find! Vintage enamel bowl by Cathrineholm of Norway. The Lotus design raises pulses by collectors and fans of mid-century design all over the globe. These bowls are absolute design classics. The colorful designs & bright colors just make you happy.
Cathrineholm was the name of a factory outside of Halden, Norway. They produced iconic enamelware pieces from the mid-1950's through the late 1960's & then closed shortly after making their pieces VERY RARE & hard to find.
The Lotus pattern is the most iconic and sought after by collectors like myself. The Lotus patten design was created by Arne Clausen in 1962. It is simple and easily recognized as Cathrineholm's best selling pattern, although all the Cathrineholm pieces are cheerful and fun to look at. They make a lively, bold & bright backdrop to any kitchen space, whether you use them, or just admire them. This vintage item has VERY MINOR signs of usage and patina & is in AMAZING CONDITION!!! Please see images for condition.
