It does work. **BUT, please note**the fitting where the top metal structure that holds the shade that goes into the top of the ceramic base is loose, very wobbly, and needs to somehow be tightened up, otherwise, the whole top part leans**
*The lamp shade has several creases in it, but is not torn.
*The ceramic base is excellent.
The top of the metal harp piece is marked: Berger Quizel Harp (see photo)
I would recommend nothing more than a 40watt bulb be used, but I'm certainly not an expert--just my opinion.
Overall height with shade is 23" tall.
Base is about 10" wide and 6" tall.
Overall weight is about 3.5 lbs
