Vintage Caldas da Rainha Portugal pottery art vase. In the style of Bernard Palissy.It is about 7 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" wide. It weighs about 2 pounds, 5 ounces.The bottom is embossed with "Caldas da Rainha Portugal" in a circle.There is also intertwined letters, possible "C" & "A"? Jose Alves Cunha?It has an applied snake and lizard.Not sure if they do not enjoy each other's company or are just saying hello as they meander through the wetlands.
The lizard does look like it's tongue may be broke off and there is a flea bite chip to his lip.Also another flea bite to his left leg. Not easily noticeable and could be touched up easily.
