Beautiful vintagesandpiper hand carved and hand painted.

I’m stilltrying to determine what species of sandpiper this is and who the exact artistis. This vintage wood carving

was purchased at a multimillionaire’s estate salein Southern California. The artist signed his signature with a “W”

an underscoreor “slash” if you will.
