Vintage Stanley Bailey No. 5 Plane Type 16 1933-1941 Corrugated Hand Plane CLEAN
Offered is a nice example of a Stanley Bailey No. 5C jack plane. I believe it is a type 16 (1933-1941) according to John Walter’s guide. It has a corrugated sole. Overall it is very clean for its age and in great shape. Some light discoloration, scuffs and scratches but solid overall. It is complete and nothing is broken. The wood on the tote and knob is in good solid condition, no breaks or repairs - but there is some dents & dings. The original japanning is still largely intact, the vast majority is intact - only a small amount has worn off. Original nickel plating is largely still intact on the lever cap. The cutting iron is in great shape with a lot of life left in it. Mouth is in good shape. Overall a really nice example. It will make a great addition for someone.
