Vtg. MCM purple caged glass swag fixtures: 2 set.:
$225.00

The pair is sold as is, as found, and as you see them. The sale is for a vtg MCM purple caged glass hanging swag fixture pair. The two lights are in different sizes but being sold as a set. They were originally made to go into a ceiling. After I purchased them, years ago, they were converted to swag form. Black chain, cord and line switches. Never been hung after conversion. The lamps are in good condition. No cracks but have age related issues. Black metal framing on purple glass can have dirt in crevices, glass can show age as well as metal. There may be areas of rust mixed in with metal and scratches in spots on glass but not detrimental; all age appropriate. The light has two parts where there is a chain at top piece and they are hinged together by bottom piece by two screws. Easily unscrewable at top, easy to pull out. Where socket is on chain piece to put in or take out light bulb. They can have white paint drips on glass, can have black metal wear in areas. The two pieces can unscrew to maybe clean or change bulbs. To put the pieces back together, you just meet the holes, top and bottom then screw in on each side. To unscrew, must turn the screwdriver counter clockwise. Clockwise may crack the glass from friction. The top openings of both pieces when taken apart, the inside glass rim at top on both ends at top can have fine, tiny chips near edge due to the rubbing of glass and metal pieces. This is unavoidable. No bigger chips. The socket itself is black but cannot tell if metal or plastic. The screw metal area can have rust. Recommended to use LED lightbulbs. Both fixtures have similar issues. Light bulbs not included. Each light will be packed in separate boxes and taken apart so each box will have two separately wrapped pieces in each box. This is to ensure safe shipping. The screws will be in a plastic ziplock bag. Both swags will have line switches on cord. The chain is a metallic black and very good quality: not a cheap chain. The larger light when closed, it will have a gab in between pieces; more than small one. There will be roughly 11\' of chain each. The cord could be almost 12\' long. Large lamp is 6.25\" X 12\". Smaller is 5 5/8\" X 10.75\".
