The creation and the award of the Memorial Scroll was announced in the Times of 18th October, 1917. It was issued in connection with the award of the Memorial Plaque (Death Penny).
We offers a superb reproduction of this item, printed on high quality Art Paper, which will be inscribed with the recipients Rank, Name and Regiment in the same style as appears on the original scrolls.
There were minor differences in colours employed for the lettering for the different services.
ARMY - Blue H of ‘HE’. Name and Rank in red and Unit in red.
RFC - As Army.
RAF - Black H of ‘HE’. Name, Rank and ‘Royal Air Force’ in blue.
NAVY - Red H of ‘HE’. Name, Rank and Ship in blue.

In order to meet our exacting standards of quality these items are only made:
1. Using a good quality 120gsm paper for the scrolls and, which have been specifically selected to closely match the colours of the originals.
2. Using the templates that we have ourselves manufactured to match the design, size, colour and fonts of the original.
3. On the appropriate template to match the branch of service for your soldier, sailor or airman.
4. Finished to the same overall size as the original documents.
The personalised wording applied to the bottom of these memorial scrolls in many cases was originally added by hand in a process that frequently resulted in a less than perfect appearance. It gave details of rank,full name, unit and the official abbreviation for any gallantry medals that the individual may have been awarded. Our reproductions can either be supplied blank for these details to be added, or are completed in a format which not only closely matches the originals, but frequently betters their appearance.
If the personal information of your serviceman is not known,we are happy to either add any details that suit your requirements, or to offer appropriate suggestions as to what the likely wording may have been on the original.
We will print the individual details at the bottom of the scroll in the same manner as the originals. (Information is required to be sent to us, we will not do the research for you but can advise where to research)

When your payment has reached us, please message us via to give us details of:-
1.The serviceman you wish us to commemorate. Please confirm ALL the details that you wish to be added. Unless specified otherwise, these details will be added to the appropriate master in the appropriate colour as per the originals. The scroll supplied will be inA4 size, the originals were 27cm x 17cm (11in x 7in). So,please adviseif you wish the size to be as per originals.
2. If you wish the Memorial Scroll to be left blank.
