A very niceexampleof
World War Two
Officer\'s Mess
Presentation Covered Kedgeree Dish
from the Officer\'s of the
164th Light Anti-Aircraft Battery
Royal Artillery
to their Commanding Officer
on the unit\'s stand-down in 1945
Measuring approx 11\" x 8\" x 3\"
and in what looks to be
an EPNS finish
(sadly no markings on the base to confrm),
this attractive mess dish
has the legend to the front:
FROM
THE OFFICERS OF 164th LT. A.A. BTY R.A.
one of the
Royal Artillery\'sAck-Ack
units guarding the skies of the
UK Home Front
during the years 1940-1945.
(Sadly, we know not the CO\'s name!)
In a very nice condition
with some usage scratches on the base, this is
another interesting artefact from the
Second World War British Home Front...
Thanks for looking..!
