An original 8\" x 10\" photograph from Camp Devens, Massachusetts. It\'s mounted on a stiff mat board. It\'s labeled in the lower right corner as \'A Saturday Night at Hut 29 Y.M.C.A. October 12, 1918\'. This was part of a larger collection of images from the 1800\'s & early 1900\'s from a Belmont, New Hampshire estate.
Nice composition & lots of details in the image, the young men are in uniform, some in the front rows you can see holding their hats, many of the young men\'s faces are clear and in focus even in the middle of the room, the room has a lot of features including the front of the stage & stage floor lights, hanging military flags that appear to be from different divisons and hanging U.S. Flags from the rafters.
Please view photos carefully for measurements & condition: the mat board is worn and bent on the corners & worn along the edges, the mat board is a bit wavy on the corners and doesn\'t lie perfectly flat, there\'s soiling in the margins and some soiling over the photo too, light marks over the photo, soiling on the backside, and overall age & wear on the entire piece.
