White Coopers' Heading Draw Knife Nice!   Description: This is a very nice, clean antique 8" wide blade straight blade heading or stave draw knife, that is marked "L. & I. J. WHITE ..37 N.Y.". The ..37 refers to the companies starting date, and they were located in Buffalo New York. It is sharp, with plenty of stock left for future sharpening. There is some dings and scrapes noted on the wood handles, but they still look good, and are solid and well attached using a a central shaft in the center of the handle that is bent over to hold the wood tightly against the steel frame. This draw knife is part of a cooper's collection that I am selling. It was in one tool from two tool boxes of tools that were used in more recent years to demonstrate the cooper's manufacturing technics. The blade is flat, not a hollow type arc. This tool is in good+ condition, with a good snug hardwood handle and good clean cutting edge surfaces. Measures 18.25" wide overall.
