View Larger Image   Morse Taper Sine Bar Gauge Block Set w/Book   Description: This is a quality made, hard to find set of Morse taper gauge blocks for your 5" sine bar! Each block is marked for the Morse number from 0-7, along with the respective gauge block thickness. For example, the "0" is marked ".2601" next to the "0". Each block is also marked by the maker "ELLSTROM" on the opposite side. These are precision, hardened, gauge blocks, with the mirror like lapped finish. All in very nice condition. The set includes a case, with seperations inside and some padding also inside. The case latch and top work effectively to keep the blocks together and from damage. The book is the "MACHINIST'S PRACTICAL GUIDE MORSE TWIST DRILL & MACHINE NEW BEDFORD MASSACHUSETTS" as so marked on the outside paper cover. The contents of the book is CUTTERS, DIES, DRILLS, END MILLS, REAMERS, TAPS, TAPERS, SPEEDS & FEEDS, LUBRICANTS, DECIMAL EQIVALENTS, and GENERAL INFORMATION. A nice ring bound older book (copyrighted in 1950), and has a bit of dirt on the outside, but fairly clean pages inside. It also covers in depth the Morse Taper specifacations in depth on pg. 43, not to mention other tapers like the Brown & Sharpe and Jarno Tapers.
