View Larger Image   Stanley No. 607C BedRock Jointer Plane   Description: This is a 607C or corrugated bottom, Bed Rock jointer plane, Type 7 (1923-26). It is complete with the Sweetheart logo on the blade and in good working condition. It has about 92% of it's original Japanning intact, good solid tote and knob, no cracks. The tote has a few minor edge chips along the top edge, both knob and tote are rosewood and have a nice finish on them. The front know has small initials neatly stamp on it, along the top. About 75% of the bare metal surfaces have a light pitted finish on them, apparently it was in a damp area sometime during it's time, and got some rust on it. There is no rust active on it now, and it's a fully functional plane with a good long, sharp cutter, very clean and flat on the bottom. The cutter also has the pitting on it, but not around the cutting edge area. Please not that this was the first series (in 1923) that no longer had the cap cover marked Bed Rock on it. This one has the standard cap cover marked "STANLEY". The bed has the "U.S. PAT. APR. 19.10" patent date on it. A really nice clean plane overall. Price reflects the pitting on the finish.
