View Larger Image   Stanley Yankee Push Drill Straight Shank Drill Adapter   Description: Yes, that is correct! Few of us have been able to find new drill bit sets for our North Brothers or Stanley push drills, since they are no longer being manufactured. We are now offering a standard straight shank drill adapter for Stanley No. 41Y & No. 43 owners. Over the past few years, our Yankee push drill customers have asked for a solution on replacement drill points (bits) for their well used Stanley push drills. We have now completed testing, and we are now offering the new straight shank, drill bit solution! The adapter is as shown in the pictures, drill chuck and straight shank drills that will fit into the handle of your push drill! Since the new screw type, keyless chuck will allow you to chuck up or tighten the drill bit in various position, you will now be able to drill holes up to about 3/4" deep with a supplied 3/64" diameter drill, which is a smaller size than the Yankee ever offered. The chuck range is from 1/32"-1/8" diameter shank size, and the length of the drill bits is from 1.7-2.1" long overall. You could use standard drill set bits if you wish, but most sizes are too long to fit into the handle like the Yankee style used to. We will include these bit sizes: 3/64, 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 7/64, 1/8" diameter drills that will have the same size shank as the drill size listed. Removing the old Yankee chuck, and fitting the adapter is generally not hard to do, but we have noted that special tools are needed to remove the old chuck for the push drill without damaging it. So we are set up here in our shop to modify your push drills with the new screw chuck adapter. The price noted for shipping is to mail your push drill back to you with the new adapter, chuck and drills attached and tested. Currently we will not be selling the adapter parts for you to install, but we are willing to install your new chuck on your used push drill for you at our shop here in Ohio. We have adapters for most North Brothers or Yankee push drills listed on this site soon, but this adapter is designed to fit only the Stanley No. 43, 03-043, or No. 41Y models only.
