View Larger Image   Buck Brothers Tanged Bent Neck Gouge Chisel 1.25 inch   Description: This is a very nice, 1.25" tanged gouge chisel with the bent shank or bent neck feature. It is marked "BUCK BROS. CAST STEEL" on the steel, and the BUCK logo can be seen. This is a quality cast steel chisel from the early 1900's era. The steel section of this chisel alone is 8.7" long x 1-1/4" width, 14.75" long overall. This is a quality made chisel by well known quality tool maker in Millbury Mass. U.S.A.. There is no pitting on it, clean, sharp and ready to use. It is an in-channel sharpened chisel, with the MILD sweep (about 1/2 of the standard sweep, or more flat than the standard sweep. The hardwood handle appears to be original, fits well and is solid, little wear, very solid, a good brass ferrule.
