View Larger Image   Stanley No. 35 Smooth Wood Bottom Plane Nice!   Description: Offering this good old smooth plane with several marks on it. On the cutter is marked "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. BAILEY PAT. 6.12.12 NO. 35" the mark is a bit light, but can be seen. There is a "STANLEY" mark on the lateral level. The wood bottom of the plane is in very good condition showing very little wear, , a few scratches, and minor dings, no cracks. The handle and knob are also in very good condition with no cracks on any of the wood parts. All metal surfaces are also in great shape, not rusty, clean, black in color, with most of the Japanning still intact. There is 80% of original Japanning on the cap cover also. There is some light pitting here and there on the cutter, and cap iron, but not in the cutting edge area. The cutter is sharp, and is marked with the sweetheart logo, "STANLEY SW MADE IN U.S.A.". This one is marked "BAILEY" in front of the front knob also. We rarely see these smooth planes in this nice of condition!
