View Larger Image   Millers Falls Barber's Patent Angle Brace Attachment   Description: This is a very early patented tool manufactured in the 1870's in Millers Falls Mass.! This angular brace attachment, is about 12.5" long overall, and is designed to be use with a brace or breast drill to reach into tight working areas like between building studs. This attachment is clearly marked "BARBERS IMPROVED PATENT JAN. 14, 1868 MILLERS FALLS CO. MILLERS FALLS MASS" on the chuck. Also marked "PATENTED ....21.1875" on the adjustable angle brace holder, near the wing nut. The tool can be adjusted to and position from straight to about 30 degrees. The drive system, chuck and adjustment are all in great shape, work smoothly and are ready to use. There is about 65% of the original paint intact overall. The chuck is the standard Millers Falls two jaw screw chuck for holding bit stock type drills with the tapered square on the end, just like the opposite end of this attachment.
