1x Rare Old Stock Polished White Rock Thunderegg that came from the 50' deep pit in the side of the mountain at "White Rock Springs" in the 1970's.In 1984 the Federal Government deemed this site to be too dangerous; they brought in large equipment to fill and cover up the "White Rock Bed" making it permanently off limits by declaring it Wilderness Area in the Ochoco National Forest and no longer available publicly/privately.. Many people tempted fate by digging into the bank without bringing down the overhang as that would be many hours to a whole day of shoveling. The day came when the loose overhanging bank started to slide, quickly collapsed, and a Rockhound was buried alive beneath hundreds of pounds of rock and dirt. I believe the guy was Tom Y*** from Portland, and luckily he was not alone, as his friend dug him out and saved his life!
