Listing is for a framed authentic original Frank Giuffrida's Hilltop Steak House iconic placemat - really the most iconic and memorable item from the Hilltop.
This is not a reproduction. As a lifelong North Shore resident, I was grief stricken when they announced the closure of The Hilltop in Saugus. Upon my last visit I asked the hostess for a placemat so I could frame it and hang it in my kitchen as a piece of wall art and she was nice enough to give me a few of them. I thought I had lost them forever until I recently found them sandwiched between 2 pieces of protective cardboard.
As mentioned, these are not reproductions. They measure 10" x 14" and are that classic textured paper stock that we all remember. I've included high res, close-up pictures, attempting to showcase the quilt-like textured paper stock that these iconic placemats were always made from.
To make sure the placemat doesn't get damaged during shipping, and because it deserves to be displayed, the placemat will be shipped in a lightweight, wall-mounting, black matte frame. The frame is made of plastic with a clear plastic (plexiglass) cover and synthetic wood backboard with attached hooks & fasteners. A removable protective film will cover the plexiglass cover. The place mat arrives in a 12" x 16" frame with a 10" x 14" white picture mat, perfectly sized for the place mat. The outer dimensions of the frame are 12 ¾" x 16 ¾" x 9⁄16"
These could be the last remaining original Hilltop place mats in existence. I have a very small amount of them on hand and when they're gone, they're gone forever so get one while you can!
