Hello, You are looking at a genuine vintage drawknife made by Palmer, Meadville, Pennsylvania, USA. This is the desirablefolding/collapsible handlestyle — the wooden handles pivot against the blade for compact storage, a feature collectors specifically look for over fixed-handle versions.

The maker\'s mark \"PALMER MEADVILLE PA\" is clearly stamped on the blade (see photos). Palmer was one of several respected edge-tool and hand-tool manufacturers based in Meadville, PA — the same tool-making town that later became home to Channellock.

This was my Dads and has been sitting in the workshop for years, time to goto a new home where it can be enjoyed. I assume it needs to be sharpened, I have never used it since i inherited it
