Rare 1976 Bicentennial Political Pair
Up for sale is a complete, original set of vintage 1976 Jim Beam political decanters, featuring the Republican Elephant and the Democrat Donkey. Released to commemorate the American Bicentennial, these highly collectible pieces feature a patriotic "drum" base adorned with "76" and Americana shield motifs.
Item Details:
Elephant: Depicted in a suit jacket, bursting from a drum and saluting.
Donkey: Features the original textured black tri-corner Revolutionary-style hat, which serves as the removable stopper.
Markings: The base of each decanter is embossed with "Creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co," "Genuine Regal China 1976," and "C. Miller".
Height: Approximately 10 to 11.5 inches tall.
Condition Note:
Both decanters are EMPTY per policy. They are in very good vintage condition with vibrant red, white, and blue colors. The original paper tax stamps and Jim Beam labels are present but show expected age-related wear, such as light peeling or fragile edges. The underside of the bases have minor surface wear and small pencil marks from previous inventory ("12" and "15").
