A printed silk USA flag. US Army 1944 Regulations stated it should be worn on the left upper arm - Only the 82nd Airborne division and Glider troops wore them in Normandy. Most were either not stitched and worn, but taken in a jump jacket pocket, or if stitched and worn, were then easily damaged or torn off in the jump and subsequent combat operations. A very rare, and totally correct survivor, sourced by me years ago out of a private collection in Canada!
