Original antique railroad survey map dating to 1845, titled “Map of Rail Road Surveys from Worcester to Baldwinville & N.H. Line,” attributed to Elisha W. Bouvé. The map covers much of northern Worcester County, Massachusetts and shows towns, waterways and early railroad routes and surveys, including work associated with the Fitchburg Railroad/Winchendon area.

Approximately mid-19th-century sheet with original fold lines and considerable age-related wear, including edge tears, losses, foxing and staining as pictured. The principal map area remains largely complete and legible. An interesting early Massachusetts railroad and Worcester County cartographic piece dating from the first generation of New England railroad expansion.
