1872 Prussian Stettin Pomerania Handwritten Legal Protocol Kurrent:
$120.00

Authentic 1872 Prussian handwritten legal document from Stettin (now Szczecin, Poland), Province of Pomerania, Kingdom of Prussia.

This is a formal official protocol/minutes of a business or legal commission. It is dated 1 April 1872 and signed by Carl Eduard Dobberwitz, a merchant (Kaufmann) based in Stettin. The document also references Albert Knaack and appears to address business matters such as inventory/stock management, operational independence, exclusion from a prior position, future buyers, and transport/freight obligations.

Written in classic old German Kurrent cursive script (the standard handwriting of the era), it is a primary source document offering a fascinating glimpse into 19th-century Prussian commercial and legal practices in the important Baltic port city of Stettin.

Historical research confirms Carl Eduard Dobberwitz as an established Stettin merchant active in the 1860s–1870s (mentioned in official Prussian gazettes). His family members later appear in local Stettin school records. This piece connects directly to that era and location.

**Condition:**

Original folded paper with expected age-related wear — some creases/folds from storage, minor toning/fading in places, and typical handling marks. A small hole on one of the creases, and small page tears. The handwriting remains very legible. Please review all photos carefully.

A wonderful addition for collectors of antique German manuscripts, Prussian/Pomeranian history, 19th-century legal documents, Kurrent script examples, or Stettin/Szczecin memorabilia.

**Provenance:** From a private family collection.

Shipped folded flat/protected with tracking.
