Original Boston & Providence Rail Road passenger ticket from Mount Hope to Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. Reverse bears a clear Mount Hope station date stamp of October 20, 1888. Particularly interesting transitional-era piece, as Boston & Providence operations had passed to the Old Colony Railroad earlier in 1888. Attractive ornate railroad logo and serial number 10160. Shows expected age-related toning, surface creasing, corner/edge wear and handling consistent with a 19th-century used ticket. Please see photos for condition.
