Interesting late 19th-century business correspondence lot (1889–1890) consisting of several handwritten letters and notes pinned together, including printed trade LETTERHEADS from two companies involved in the manufacture and sale of wire household goods.
The group includes:
• A. GUSTORF – Manufacturers’ Agent, Room 58–92 La Salle Street, Chicago, Illinois
Letterhead advertising “Hardware, Stampedware and Tinware.”
One sheet dated January 25, 1889 with handwritten order notes including references to broilers and product pricing.
• NEW ENGLAND WIRE GOODS CO., Lowell, Massachusetts
Illustrated letterhead showing wire household items and reading “Manufacturers of Household and Fancy Wire Goods.”
Letters dated March 27, 1890 and related correspondence discussing orders, invoices, pricing, and trade conditions.
The letters reference communication with Mr. Russell and discuss:
