Capture the elegance of this unique floral masterpiece, a breathtaking replica of the renowned 1901 Basket of Flowers egg. Unlike traditional forms, this piece is crafted as a truncated egg-shaped basket complete with a large golden handle. The white enameled body features a delicate gold trellis pattern and rests upon a rich blue pedestal base. A vibrant bouquet of enameled wildflowers—sparkling with Austrian crystals—spills from the top, which opens seamlessly to reveal a secure storage compartment. The Royal History:
Commissioned in 1901 by Czar Nicholas II as an Easter gift for Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, this extraordinary design departed from tradition by focusing entirely on magnificent exterior surface detail rather than a hidden internal surprise. The original masterpiece featured an elegant basket with the date \"1901\" prominently displayed—a historic touch perfectly mirrored on this replica\'s rim. After being sold by the Soviet government in the 1930s, the original treasure was acquired by Queen Mary and remains a prestigious part of the British Royal Collection today.
