This is a 1906 photo essay of the "rollicking cowboys" in and around the recently-incorporated town of Mabton, WA Washington. The Editors provide a delightful qualification to these photographs, pointing out that these cowboys "may have lent themselves and their histrionic talents to the service of the enterprising photographer," but that many western towns certainly have had scenes that are no less "melo-dramatic than these."
