1909 Hotel Astor Grill Room Dinner Menu. Celebrated New York City Hotel opened in 1904 at Times Square (Broadway & 44th St.)
Described as a lavishly designed space, the Grill Room itself was styled as a "Hunters Hall" and featured a hunting lodge aesthetic. The menu itself has a Native American motif and the cover is beautifully illustrated in brilliant color.
Of interest it portrays elegantly clad Victorians dining with Native American chiefs & squaws. Hmmm....The back of the menu features three teepees.
Sadly, the hotel was demolished in 1967.
Menu is in good condition for its 100+ years. The front cover is in excellent condition, the back has a water stain. The menu is splitting at the fold and has some discoloration.
Measures 6" x 9".
