$44.95

Original 1912 Vanity Fair color caricature of Sir Charles Wright Macara, 1st Baronet, titled "A leading Figure in the Cotton Industry, Life Boat Philanthropy, and International Peace."
Published March 13, 1912, this is Men of the Day No. 1312 and was illustrated by Alexander "Alick" Penrose Forbes Ritchie.
Macara was a prominent British cotton industrialist and an important figure in the Lancashire cotton industry. He was also known for his work supporting lifeboat charities and international cooperation.
This original chromolithograph is an excellent example of early 20th-century British political, industrial and social history represented through Vanity Fair caricature.
A great collectible for Vanity Fair collectors, British history enthusiasts, textile and cotton industry collectors, antique print collectors and those interested in Edwardian-era personalities.
