1913 MICHIGAN CENTRAL STATION DETROIT TERMINAL RAILROAD LAMBERTON M CHINA PLATE For Sale

Up for offer is a rare antique Michigan Central Station Detroit Terminal Railroad plate. This piece of authentic railroadiana restaurant ware china was manufactured by Maddock Pottery Company under their commercial Lamberton China line. The plate measures just under 10-3/4\", and dated between 1913 and 1914. The plate is in very good used condition. There are several pictures to show very light utensil use. The photos were taken in direct sunlight and indoors to accentuate the utensel use. When displayed, or looking head-on at the plate, the marks are very light. There are no deep scratches, chips or repairs of any kind. The gold rim coloring is intact. There are signs of wear on the inside lip at the bottom of the seals around the plate, please see pictures.
The State Seals around the perimeter of the plate are as follows: Great Seal of the State of Michigan, Seal of the State of Illinois, Seal of the State of Ohio, Indiana State Seal, The Great Seal of the State of New York and Dominion of Canada. The last seal is of Union News Company.The Michigan Central Station Detroit Terminal opened in 1913 where it remained in business until it closed its doors in 1988. In 2018 the station was purchased by Ford Motor Company and was reopened in 2024. I had the opportunity to tour this facility when it opened, and the last photo is of the station artifacts, including the a similar plate. As you can see, my plate is in nicer condition.
